What Ministries does the Endowment Fund Support?

Charitable endowment gifts create a meaningful legacy that provide for vital ministries that may not be funded through the regular giving of our congregation. Including:

  • · Capital Development, & Unbudgeted Improvements
  • · Children & Family Ministries
  • · Scholarships
  • · Mission Projects 
  • · Contributions may be gifted for our General Endowment Fund or for a specified ministry of your choice.
  • · A new fund may be named in memory or honor of individuals and/or designated ministries, with an initial investment of $20k or more.

What Types of Assets May Be Gifted?

  • · Gifts of any size are welcome and are tax-deductible.
  • · Cash, insurance policies and publicly traded securities may be gifted without restriction.
  • · A 401(k) or IRA.
  • · Closely-held securities, real property, intangible personal property and other types of property.

In What Forms May Gifts Be Made to the Endowment Fund?

  • · Outright gifts during an individual’s lifetime or as bequeathed.
  • · An IRA or insurance policy.
  • · Charitable trusts during your life or at death.
  • Our Foundation Legacy Ministry Committee and Board of Directors can assist you in getting specific details on these various types of gifts.

Who Administers and Distributes the Funds?

  • · The Cliftondale Foundation Board of Directors upon request of the Church administrative and trustee boards.
  • · A financial report outlining fund activities, will be presented to the Charge Conference annually and will be included in the annual audit of church funds.
